Dazomet is an organic compound with the molecular formula C5H10N2S2. This product is white needle-like crystals. Solubility at 20 degree : water 3 g/L, cyclohexane 400 g/L, chloroform 391 g/L, acetone 173 g/L, benzene 51 g/L, ethanol 15 g/L, ether 6 g/L. It is sensitive to temperature and humidity above 50 degree , and is hydrolyzed into carbon disulfide, formaldehyde and methylamine in acidic medium. It can be used as a broad-spectrum pesticide.
